If you are viewing Safari in full-screen mode, mouse over the top of the browser screen to see the menu. Click the Security tab. Ensure that Enable JavaScript and Allow Plug-ins are selected. Click the Websites tab. It's the tab with a globe icon at the top of the window. 6 Check the box next to 'Adobe Flash Player.

In fact, Flash is the last browser plug-in to vanish, following in the footsteps of Oracle Java, Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Shockwave, Apple QuickTime, and others. Official support for Flash ended on December 31, 2020. Adobe has removed download links for Flash from its website and will not be updating Flash with any security updates. Open Safari, and choose Safari Preferences. Click the Websites tab and scroll down to the Plug-ins section. Locate the Adobe Flash Player entry. Click the checkbox to enable Flash Player.

With the new version of Kronos, we are able to use Safari again on the Macs. When visiting the site, you might be asked to download or 'Get' Adobe Flash Player. You should already have the player installed and this is how to enable it for the Kronos site.


Follow these steps to enable Flash Player

  1. Launch Safari and goto the new Kronos website. https://kronos.rit.edu
  2. You are presented with this window
  3. To fix this, click on 'Safari' and then choose 'Preferences'
  4. Now click on 'Websites'
  5. On the left hand side, look for the 'Plug-ins' section and click on 'Adobe Flash Player'
  6. Now, on the right hand side under 'Currently Open Websites' find kronos.ad.rit.edu
  7. Click on the 'Off' drop down menu and choose 'On'
  8. Close the window
  9. Refresh the Kronos web page. It should now load correctly

By default Flash apps are not going to appear on webpages in Safari. However, it is easy to enable them by clicking on the prompt or using Safari's Preferences. In some cases, using Preferences may be the only way to get Flash working properly on a site.Enable adobe flash player safari 12
